Where Is My Post?

I swear I wrote a post called, What's the Point?  I was rambling about whether or not blogging was helping business. So far it hasn't helped much. Most of the responses I've received are from fellow network marketers.

Oh, well.

Things are still going well for us as a team, and  Arbonne has gone international. They are now in Australia and Great Britain.

It Has Been Quite a Month

It has been a month since my last post.

I've spent a week with my family, vacationing at an ocean villa.

My oldest child got married.

My middle child moved out of the house.

My youngest child went on a missions trip to Honduras.

My wife launched business team in Houston, Texas.

And in between, I've been working 60 hours a week making a living, while we work part-time building our fortune.

Life is good, and it is getting better.

Ultimately, it will our business that takes us from where we are, to where we want to be. If you want to know how a MLM business can get you to the place you want to be, contact me.

Einstein Was Pretty Smart

Albert Einstein, possibly the most intelligent man ever, said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge."

Imagine that.

Remember when you were young, you were going to be an actress, or learn to fly. Or be a super hero. Or an NFL Quarterback. Or the President of the United States.

Remember when you were going to cure cancer, and AIDS. Then put an end to world hunger?

What happened to those dreams?

As adults, we still use our imagination. We imagine the IRS taking everything we have. We imagine getting downsized after 20 years of loyal service to the company.

We imagine what it's going to be like to retire, and live on half of what we can't live on now.

Now, change gears. Try hard to imagine a life that is not ruled by price tags. Imagine being able to buy the leather shoes instead of the imitation leather shoes. Imagine being able to buy the name brand anything, instead of settling for the off-brand  product.

Imagine a life without an alarm clock. Imagine a life where you make the important decisions in your life, not your employer. Things like when you go on vacation, and when you come back. How many hours you work, and when.

Network marketing offers you this lifestyle, and our company is the best network marketing vehicle to get you to your dream life.

It won't be easy, but it will be worth it. If you're able to envision this new life, contact us, and let's see if our opportunity is right for you.

Small Business, Big Business

The network marketing business model gives the average person the opportunity to have all the advantages of big business.

Not small business, big business.

If you have a small business, you have a job. You might be your own boss, but you still have a job. I've been there, I know. You do all the work, you have to be there all the time.

The key to big business success, is to formulate a business model that makes money, then duplicate it!

Picture your buddy, Jim Bob, opening up a restaurant. He will be there all the time. No one wants his employees to cook their hushpuppies or biscuits, they want Jim Bob to make them. He will work like a dog for a couple of years, then go out of business. It happens all the time.

Now, picture Truett Cathy, Dave Thomas, or Ray Kroc. They opened restaurants, developed a successful plan, and sold the opportunity to others. They did not cook every burger or chicken sandwich in every restaurant. They sold the opportunity to cook burgers to others, and then took a small percent of the profits, for the work they did developing the opportunity.

This duplication is the beauty of the network marketing opportunity.

Yes, you sell exceptional health and beauty products, and you make a little money at the point of sale. But more importantly, when these lovers of your product join your team, you earn residual income on everything they purchase thereafter.

And beyond that, you show others how to build a network of loyal customers so that they can earn a residual income. You give people who want it, a chance to own their life. An opportunity to earn an incredible income.

Trading hours for dollars is the worst way to make money. Building a business that allows you to earn money long after the initial work is done; that is a much smarter way to make money.

Let us tell you more about our business opportunity.

Totally Off Track

Jordin Sparks deserved to win American Idol.

But, the song that is stuck in everyone's mind is:

"You give love a ba- ba- ba- bad name!"

Belief. What You Think About, You Bring About

Your life is not the result of the things you have done. It is the result of the things you have thought about. You can't act without first thinking.

The things you have done in life started out as thoughts. Self talk, visualization, meditation, positive mental attitude: these have all gotten a bad rap in recent years. The "name it and claim it" preachers have been vilified, but the truth is, you cannot act without first thinking. If you want something, you have to think about it first.

And you can't become something that is opposed to what you believe. Think about it. If you want to be a good person, but you think rich people are evil, you will never be rich. It does not line up with what you think is right.

If you don't believe in your products or company, you will never be successful promoting them. If you have doubts about the network marketing business model, you will not be successful in network marketing.

But most importantly, if you don't believe in yourself, you will never be successful. To move forward in your business and life you have to have self-confidence. You have to step outside your comfort zone. And the walls of your comfort zone are lined with fear. If you are considering building a network marketing business you need to understand the genius of the business model. Then find a company and products that you are passionate about. After that it is all up to you. Only a small percentage of Americans will pursue a network marketing career, and only a small percentage of them will become financially free.

With the right company, you will have a company and products you can believe in. You will have a compensation plan that will make you believe in the network marketing business model. That will leave you with one area to work on. Belief in yourself. You have to believe in yourself. Once you get to that point, the sky is the limit.

If you have goals and dreams, let us show you how our business can be the vehicle to take you where you want to go.

Doing Business Via Blog

When I started this blog, I had no real expectations.

I know that when you break network marketing down to its basic element it is this: Tell people about your business. Use the products, Recommend the products, sign up others to do the same. I felt that blogging would be a great way to tell a lot of people about our business.

I have also mentioned that it is important that people know you, like you and trust you before they will become a business partner. I felt that blogging would be a good way to tell who we are and what we are doing, reaching a much larger number of people than one-on-one meetings or home presentations.

That being said, since adding the Andale counter to the blog I have been averaging about 30 views per day. That number is not the total number of hits, but the number of unique viewers.

Have I gotten my first lead yet? No. Bob Pruett, who runs an online store, says that getting one customer out of 300 visitors is good. This is not an online store, this is an online story, so there is still no way to know what to expect.

I will keep writing, giving you more info on network marketing and myself and we'll see what happens.

Joe

What Do You Think?

Most people would agree that what happens to us is a result of our actions. But it goes deeper that that. Our actions are actually a result of our thoughts.

We are what we think about most of the time. You cannot take an action unless you think about it first. Also, you cannot become something that goes against your beliefs. Psychologists call this cognitive dissonance.

If you have negative thoughts about network marketing, you will not be successful in network marketing. If you have negative thoughts about the wealthy, you will never be wealthy.

Think about it. If you want to be a good person, and you believe the wealthy are arrogant, greedy and rude, you will never be able to become wealthy, because in your mind they are not good people.

To become successful, you have to think successful thoughts. It's harder than it sounds, but it can be done.

Who's The Boss?

Brian Tracy says one of the most important decisions we make is choosing our boss, but most of us never even consider the boss when choosing a career. We get the "good job" and work for whoever is in charge.

The boss has more control over your life than you want to admit. They control your hours, your pay, when you can take vacation, whether you can advance in the company, and who knows what else.

Having a horrible boss can ruin your life. (Or, at least, your outlook on life). I've been there, I know.

The great thing about network marketing is that you are your own boss. (Well, its great if you like yourself, but that's another blog).

The great thing about our company is that the people are so incredible. Even though your upline is technically not your boss, they are the people who will train you and offer you support and encouragement.

Your upline will be showing you what you need to do to succeed, because ensuring your success will increase their success. This is not the case at your job, where the only way to move up is to move your boss out of the way.

We have great company with a great compensation plan. The products do what they say they will, and the people are among the finest you will ever work with. Contact us. See what its like to "interview" the people you will be working with. Find out if being a member of our team is right for you.

Job. J.O.B. Just Over Broke

From an early age, we are told to, "Go to school, get good grades, and get a good job."

Why?  Because our parents had jobs and our teachers had jobs. That is all they knew.

As Jim Rohn has said, "If my school had offered Wealth 1 and Wealth 2, I would have signed up for both courses."

There was a time when a good job meant security. Those days have pretty much passed.

The idea of having a job and being an employee is really absurd, when you break it down. Your employer pays you just enough to keep you from quitting, and you do just enough work so that they won't fire you! I first heard this description of a job as part of a joke, but there is nothing funny about it. It is absolutely true.

In most jobs there is no incentive for working hard. The pay is based on senority or job description. With network marketing, those who perform get paid the most. If you sign up and don't do anything, you won't get paid.

If you sign up and follow the plan your upline has laid out for you, you should at least achieve the level of success that they have. The great thing with network marketing is that your hard work is rewarded with an income that is almost unlimited.

What does your job offer? Three percent increase per year? Maybe a 20% increase and a new title if you get a four year college degree?

It is time for you to give network marketing a second look. I will be showing you how a job will make you a living, but network marketing can make you a fortune. (And you can start part-time)

Who Are You, And Why Are You Here?

On April 26th I wrote my goals for this blog. In the 48 hours since I added the Andale counter to this page, I have had 75 different individual hits with 12 going to the web site.

So here is my question. "You know what I want, what do you want?"

Or, put another way, "Who are you?  Consultants?  Skeptics? Other MLM reps? Let me know. I don't want to do this just for me.

I'm looking for feedback.

Joe

No, No, No, No, No, No, Sure, Why Not?

In so many areas of our lives, we dread the word "no."

Jack Canfield makes an excellent point. You didn't have anything before you asked. If you get a "no," you still don't have anything, but your life hasn't changed at all. It didn't get worse. It just didn't change in the way you wanted.

Do you know who knows this better than you? The kid at the fast food drive thru.

"Chicken sandwich please."

"Would you like to make it a combo?" "No."

"Would you like fries with that?"  "No."

"How about dessert today?" "No."

"Biggie size?" "No. No. No."

"I think I'm gonna quit."

Remember you are actually better off after a "no." Every "no" gets you closer to a yes.

Joe

Who Can Make It In Network Marketing?

Who can make it in network marketing?

The short answer? Anybody.

The reality? Most people won't.

The entire network marketing/MLM business model can be summed up in three words:

     Use, Recommend, Duplicate.

It's that simple. The problem is that it is not easy. We find reasons to not talk to someone, we take it personal when someone says, "No." We would rather stay where we are and complain than get up and do something.

So people will try it for a short time and then blame the business model or the company or their upline.

Step number one for success in network marketing (and life itself) is take responsibility for your actions. Everything you do begins as a thought in your head.

Henry Ford said, "If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right."

I think you can make it in network marketing. What do you think?
