Lisa Fields said her home-based business idea came to her at an opportune time.
Fields has been an independent consultant with skin care and beauty product company Arbonne International since April 2005, and the new mother and wife said she is enjoying making money, while having hours on hand to spend meaningful time with husband Casey and daughter Sophia.
"The fact that I get to stay home with my child is the greatest," she said.
Prior to starting her home based business, Fields spent 12 years working as a district manager for a retail chain. But the business was being sold to a big corporation, and Fields began to anticipate other business venues.
"I had a job making $50,000 a year, and I thought what am I going to do," she said, "then along came Arbonne."
Fields' cousin had invited her to an Arbonne presentation. Fields said she was uninterested and reluctant about going, but for her cousin's sake she went. The presentation, and flipping through the Arbonne pamphlets and magazines, sparked a great desire for Fields to try the products.
After two months of trying the products and researching the company, she was impressed and ready to start her home-based business under Arbonne International - a move that did not cost her close to what it would have to start some other business, she said. She paid $29 to buy all the products at a discounted price of 35 percent off.
Fields has done so well in marketing Arbonne products that she has earned the title of Independent Consultant, Regional Vice President, which is a sure sign that her sales are high and she is getting others to market Arbonne products. An independent consultant at this level makes over $6,700 a month. In addition, Fields has earned a Mercedes Benz, which she said is a great marketing tool.
