Who's The Boss?
Brian Tracy says one of the most important decisions we make is choosing our boss, but most of us never even consider the boss when choosing a career. We get the "good job" and work for whoever is in charge.
The boss has more control over your life than you want to admit. They control your hours, your pay, when you can take vacation, whether you can advance in the company, and who knows what else.
Having a horrible boss can ruin your life. (Or, at least, your outlook on life). I've been there, I know.
The great thing about network marketing is that you are your own boss. (Well, its great if you like yourself, but that's another blog).
The great thing about our company is that the people are so incredible. Even though your upline is technically not your boss, they are the people who will train you and offer you support and encouragement.
Your upline will be showing you what you need to do to succeed, because ensuring your success will increase their success. This is not the case at your job, where the only way to move up is to move your boss out of the way.
We have great company with a great compensation plan. The products do what they say they will, and the people are among the finest you will ever work with. Contact us. See what its like to "interview" the people you will be working with. Find out if being a member of our team is right for you.
The other part of being your own boss is having the discipline to get work done during your "work" hours. Without someone looking over your shoulder it takes a new mind set not to just read every email that comes in *when* it comes in, read a book, play a game...
This is true whether you are using the internet to build your business, making a lot of phone calls... whatever. It's easy to get distracted.
And it doesn't get any easier when you go "full time" network marketing. You just get more distractions. ;)

To Roger's comment, you're right. It's hard to have the discipline when you don't have someone over your shoulder making sure you do your work. But, if you are motivated to change your life and lifestyle, direct marketing could just be the thing. It's not an insurance policy but what is nowadays?
