Solution Marketing
Here is an excerpt from Networking Times interview with E-Myth author Michael Gerber:
In reality it is quite difficult to get people to do something they're unaccustomed to doing, so it becomes a numbers game, with a very small percentage accomplishing great results, and everyone else sort of disappearing. This is rationalized by saying, "Well, they just didn't step up. If they did what the ten percent do, they would have what the ten percent have."
How often are Network Marketers told to get out of their comfort zones in order to make their business work? Upline MLM Guru's teach their new recruits to do a list of 8-10 things that will supposedly send the new recruit on the pathway to success. Network Marketers are often given a so called "proven success system" and told all they have to do is duplicate it. However there is one huge problem with this scenario...NO ONE IS DUPLICATING!
Let's look at the very basics of Network Marketing:
A. Selling products
B. Sponsoring people
Network Marketing is in essence, selling products and sponsoring people. Is that oversimplifying? I don't think so. Do those two things and do them often, and you will make money in Network Marketing.
The simplest and most comfortable way I have found to sell products and sponsor people is through what I call "Solution Marketing". That is to look at your business and your products as a potential solution for people. You go about your daily life and when you find someone that has a problem that your business has a legitimate solution, you offer it.
Would people outside of the community of Network Marketing have a different opinion of Network Marketing if Network Marketers only presented their products or business to people that had a specific problem that the networker had a specific solution to?

Absolutely. We would be seen as helpers instead of hypers. Huge difference. Huge. Here's an acronym for developing a network marketing business:
USA
U: use a product you like. Obviously, using your own products is optional, but it's easier to recommend a product you've used. The products most people talk about are the products they've used...even if those people aren't network marketers.
S: Share your products....do what the membership warehouse clubs do. They give away free samples. They give discounts. They promote, advertise, etc..You are the store, the shelf, the sign, the manager, the stocker, the checker, the ad, etc...Godin says, "You might have to try six different things...before you get an inkling of what's going to spread." Remember, people talk to other people about stuff they buy.
A: Acquire partners. This can be done only if you have a solution for their problem...a supply for their need... a match for their unique situation. Ask questions. If their answers match your answers, you have a match.

But ty, Trying to do network marketing this way requried a lot of patience. No? You can't go full time, and if u happen to be a cubical dwerller, u have a very limited social life. It may take years to go full time.

Of course it may take years to go full time in Network Marketing while operating on a part time basis. This is not any different than traditional business.
But I disagree that this method takes any longer than the hype method employed by Quixtar IBO's. You will waste far less time sitting in meaningless meeting if you don't try to convince someone to build a business by scaring them with 40/40 plan statistics.
