Emerald Passport only is a 4-up, if you do not purchase the product itself. When you purchase the product (which you want to do so you know what you are selling and so you can begin learning about financial and personal success), you only have to get 2 people in that go up to your director. You are then a director and start earning commissions.

I personally represented Emerald Passport for 18 months before I decided it was time to take them out of my business portfolio & focus on the businesses that were creating results. I personally put my heart & soul into Emerald Passport and I was constantly battling with the issues I have listed below.
You have to spend thousands with the Emerald Passport system before you start to see a return on your investment, that is if you are in the small percent who actually get qualified with Emerald Passport.
Automated System doesn't work! The system is no longer functional due to spam laws to operate for what it was originally designed to do - Out Dated!
Marketing system - Top producers don't even use it? If it works so well then why have they all created websites to pull people in based around the hype of what they have made rather than using the system they are selling???
You have to pay to take people to the conference calls - this is NOT included in the initial cost to get started with Emerald Passport. (this should ALWAYS be provided by the company for FREE). Conference call system charges distributors $40 per month to access live conference calls. Emerald Passport portrays itself as a direct marketing company with several thousand distributors. So, when they opted to start charging for conference calls, many distributors perceived it as a cash grab. 1,000 distributors at $40 per month is $40,000 monthly. In my opinion, it shouldn't cost $40,000 per month to run a conference call.
Marketing … you are directed to buy over priced & unqualified lead lists which some of the top producers are making a killing on, and COLD call people if you don't find somebody willing to teach you how to market.
Pay Plan doesn't work as designed-Everyone is giving DEALS because they know you will not duplicate?
Your very own team leaders will steal your sales if you are not careful!
Emerald Passports Training, Again, OUT DATED - consists of motivation through HYPE of what the select few have made-No Concrete Training On How To Effectively Market & Generate Leads!
Very Few Success Stories-Same Few As 2 Years Ago???
Emerald Passport is domiciled in Panama. I am not saying that is good or bad. What I am saying is because of fraud issues, local authorities have warned people about the risks of doing business with foreign companies as they cannot be regulated. This is a stigma that attaches to any foreign corporation even if it is the most honest and ethical corporation in the world. From a marketing perspective, I felt the risk of doing business with an offshore company was scaring away too many customers.
Emerald Passport conferences? - You better take your checkbook!
ON A SIDE NOTE: I know people who were on the top producers teams now who have spent thousands on their marketing resources (Movie View Leads), and have never heard from their director again and they never made a dime through using their leads & methods they themselves don't even use.

Hi
Just investigating EPI at present, in what team were you from? I was ready to sign on however am having some doubts. It is great to see an insight on someone who has been there.
Your assistance would be much appreciated.

For those of you wandering if this program works? It always works, the only part of the equation that makes a mess of it is the human part. The Aussie 2-up, or 4-up works. The people who believe that they can join and never do anything in their business will always fail. Yes, there are some bad apples out there, but there are bad apples everywhere! If you work the system and learn what it is you are actually doing then you can become successful. You do not need a director holding your hand through the entire process. It is job to learn as much as you can about the opportunity. The company only provides the product. The rest is all business expenses. Yes, you have to spend some money to make some money. It has always been that way.
Learn how to give a presentation personnally and go out and start talking to people, use your own ads, and scripts.
If you bought a franchise of some sort you would be required to pay a large amount up front and still be required to pay for all of the supplies and equipment. It is no different here. Learn your business and except no excuses.
Everyone can find a reason that it does not work, only a few can find a reason that is will work, that is why they are successful people.

It seems difficult to find anything on this blog that leads to a description of what Emerald Passport is actually selling. Is it Irish citizenship? Verdant gemstones? Green Honda SUVs? A decent (even a cursory) description might serve as a form of insurance that this company is on the up-and-up...

Jerry-
Emerald Passport sells wealth and self education online.
Hope that helps. :-)

Hi Ron:
Thanks for the response, that's a start. However, the "selling" of wealth and self-education? It still seems a bit out-there. It's not a hard product like supplements or clothing, and it's not a service (that I can tell) like insurance or legal services...
Is there a website that one can visit for clarification on these points?

Do not be mislead, when you spend the $1295 for the EPI product you ARE NOT BUYING THE PRODUCT YOU ARE RENTING THE PRODUCT!
How? well each year you have to renew your membership costing $99 otherwise you loose access to the product website.

Think of it this way: The product, if to be distributed phisicaly, would probably be worth almost $10,000 as this is currently the value to date. Instead, you pay much less for it and those $99 yearly, are nothing comprared to your savings over the years.
Besides that, don't you have your ISP (Internet Access) fees anyway? You, as well as I, rent internet. If you use it to profit or educate yourself, than whatever you're paying is worth it. If your just waisting your time online, than the value of your buck goes way down.
It's a matter of what value you give to yourself and to your time.

Not terribly sure about Emerald Passport, but I have investigated and done my due diligence on many home based businesses and I know that I have finally found the opportunity I've always been looking for with Global Resorts Network. We're marketing a product with REAL value for the consumer; one that has been selling for 20+ years through traditional means for up to $10K more than it's now being sold for via the internet.
Add to that a compensation plan that pays to Unlimited width and depth (check out www.payplan.us), combined with top-notch training and marketing systems, I've found . what I've always been looking for, and we're just getting started. JUst in and getting paid $1000 commissions already. I'd encourage you to check my site at www.ifinallyfoundaway.com.
I've been looking and experimenting for a LONG time, but I've found the ONE. Check it out.

Stay away from this scam. Every time the money dries up a new level of conference is added and the same passup rules apply. $1295 join phase 1 and then there is the $20 a month website and $99 setup and it goes on and on always the hand in the pocket then phase 2 at $6k to $10K for conference tickets 1st year the $1K every year after plus travel and accomadation. and then phase 3 $25K approx for another conference ticket which you buy each year plus travel accomadation. that is why so many offer cheaper plans to get sales so they can get some money back. i know quite a few people burnt by this program and one conman that promised alot and delivered nothing. one friend paid jim norris $2K for 100 qualified leads and never saw them my advice stay away from this scam save your money its the people at the top who are making the money.

Do not even think of joining this group ep.
they are scammers the product is not worth $100 they lied to me many times. Sold me high priced leads that were supposed to be top class, ended up they were people who could not affort to pay their rent never mind finance a business.
Please be wise and do not listen to hype,if you do you will regret it for a long time to come. you will only rent the product never own it, (not worth owning anyway).
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, YOU WILL NEVER MAKE MONEY IN THAT BUSINESS, i DONT WANT TO SAY "I TOLD YOU SO"

Extra note on previous comment.
If this product is worth thousands of dollars as some of them claim, ask to review it for say EIGHT HOURS without obligation.
You will then see for yourself that you can find similar things online for a fraction of the cost and even free audio.
If they are so confident in its value they will jump at the chance.
