With the advent of energy deregulation, Texans now have greater options than ever before when it comes to their electricity provider. Now, they have the power to turn on greater savings, better customer service, and the use of renewable energy. And according to a survey conducted by the Public Utility Commission of Texas, the majority of customers find the process of changing electricity providers to be very easy.
These factors have created very dynamic and exciting circumstances for customers and the entrepreneurs who would compete for their patronage. And to meet the needs of both, a unique and inventive company was founded – Ignite.
Ignite embraces a philosophy we call "The Power of Business Ownership" - the combination of the unlimited potential of network marketing with the ever-present need that all customers have for energy service.
Customers are provided electricity by our parent company, Stream Energy, which delivers more than just low rates. Our advantage over other electric providers is our community of Ignite Independent Associates that serve as personal energy points of contact. When you make the switch to Stream Energy, your Ignite Independent Associate offers you tailored one-to-one customer service you're not likely to find elsewhere.
As an Ignite Independent Associate, you benefit from our easy-to-understand, heavily incented compensation plan. This plan has several features that make it immediately attractive to both the discerning entrepreneur and the first-time business owner.
As a customer-focused company, Ignite pays you immediate income for helping your customers save money on their electric bills. And our leadership bonuses are based on your efforts at helping other Associates follow your example - namely, assisting their customers by providing lower energy rates.
Where does Stream Energy's power come from? Just wondering - the opportunity leads to these kinds of questions, especially in today's world of cleaner fuels and such. Many consumers want some form of insurance about what forms of energy they are getting! Thanks,
Jerry

Jerry,
I do not know if anyone ever responded to your comments and questions. I would just like you to know that the energy is still delivered by the incumbent electric company. As with the deregulation of phone service years ago, the original company produces the electric and is responsible for making sure the electric lines and poles are maintained, the difference is that Stream Energy will bill you , at a lower rate, and you pay them as well as the fact that they will handle all of your customer service. If your neighbor is on one of the other companies and you are on Stream and your power goes out so will your neighbors, only difference you call Stream to report it and they will handle getting the maintance crews out to get the problem fixed. Your electric will not go out and your neighbors stay on unless the bill is not paid. If you would like to discuss this more please contatct me through my web site www.energywatts.igniteinc.biz

Actually. With deregulation both the generation and sales are open to the market. Stream energy buys their power off the grid from Constellation Energy.

The only thing that is still a monopoly and thankfully so are the service companies. In Houston it's still Centerpoint Energy. They own and service everyone regardless who you pay for electricity. Everyone has the same number to call for service.

This is a fascinating idea, and it is selling utilities that EVERYONE needs... as opposed to something that becomes more of a discretionary purchase when times are tight. That's absolute insurance for any industry. Well planned, I like it.
