How to get your Ads noticed....

When you have a business online your primary goal is to gain exposure for your company to produce sales. So how do you go about doing that? How long should you advertise on one site? I did a little experiment last year to see if what other marketing gurus say is true: "That it will take up to 7 times before someone will notice your ad, and 8-10 times before someone will click through and depending on the product 15 times before someone will purchase from you".

I looked for where my sites would be noticed the niche market for all of my services, products and Support for Moms sites.

I did banner advertising, text advertising, networking on line, help out in forums that are in my niche market for me its very time consuming since I have 2 companies but 2 of them are a perfect compliment to each other. I have found that referrals work great too!

I recommend if you advertise somewhere don't just do it for one month, I have noticed I get more responses when I advertise on a site for several months at a time, sometimes one month is not enough to see results when you advertise because it takes people up to 7 times before they even really notice your ad.

As a marketing consultant I have had people leave my site from advertising within one month because it hasn't worked for them yet, but those who have been advertising on my site for more than a month their pages are high in rank and they have a lot of clicks and more of a following to their sites etc.

My only advice and this is coming from someone who has been in direct sales or her own business for over 10 years do not think 1 time on 1 site with an ad is going to produce you results.

My sites are on several other sites for at least 3 months or longer before I decide to no longer advertise on a particular site.

So if you advertise on a site that someone goes to a lot say 1-3 times a week or more it may be 3-4 weeks before you will have people purchasing from you.

The other thing I would advice is that you get involved in doing chats and establish yourself as an expert in what you do, I am doing

right now (offline) and am doing the Beauty expert course so I can be better able to serve my customers and so far it is wonderful! I am able to know my products better, know skin care, to know what colors of makeup etc will go with what skin color etc I plan on holding classes over the next couple months in town here for beauty makeovers!

Advertising here and there and jumping around from site to site every month is not going to help. If all you can do is advertise on 3 sites each month keep advertising on those same sites at least 3 months before you decide to no longer advertise there, I know I will have some people say that's not right or that is a waste of money...well I advertised on several sites for 5 months and saw the results from the advertising, forums I get more of a response faster when I can be there read where people need help and reply with my signature to my sites :) Those sites that I only advertise with for one month, guess what...I didn't get a high response click through rate, and I didn't make very many if any sales at all from those sites.
