Fundraising often is a tedious and relentless necessity for most organizations and school groups. With the exception perhaps of Girl Scout cookies, it can be tiring selling the same old products to the same people, month after month, year after year. And some smaller organizations might find it difficult to scrape together the start-up costs for larger commercial fundraisers.
That’s why Virginia Beach resident Jennifer Burnham decided to start and use her home-based business to help further the causes of others. Thus, Freedom With Candles, home of Freedom Fundraisers, was born.“I am a local Navy wife, mother and small-business owner who enjoys helping people reach their goals,” she said. “I work with schools, military groups, animal rescue groups and even families that need to raise money for medical or special circumstances.”
Burnham is licensed to run her own business and partnered with Scent-Sations, Inc., in August. The Pennsylvania-based company is home of the Mia Bella’s Cleaner Burning Gourmet Candles and other gourmet products, such as a soy beauty bar. Most groups opt to sell the all-natural candles as a fundraiser, she said.

It is nice to see that a military spouse is able to use something like Mia Bella to enhance her family's standard of living, it gives some insurance of income beyond whatever Uncle Sam pays. Here's hoping it leads to much success!
