The FDA and Claims
As you go out and build your NuroVital business I would like you to keep something in mind that is critical to your success. We are in the business of providing products which are classified as "Dietary Supplements", and while the regulations regarding this class of products are often confusing, there are some very important rules to which we all must adhere.
Making appropriate claims may be at the top of this list of rules regarding dietary supplements. The Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA) established rules and regulations for the kinds of claims that may be made for dietary supplements, most importantly that claims to "diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease" may not be made, because only a drug can legally make such a claim.
As exciting and revolutionary as the NuroVital products are, let's all be careful when we talk about our personal experiences with, and positive benefits from them. Be excited, be positive, share your personal stories, and share the literature that has been provided on the website... But keep in mind those important words, that we do not "diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease".
If you ever forget the words, you will be able to find them on our web site. They are prominently posted at the bottom of every page.
I think the FDA is ridiculous. While requiring this quote of all non-drugs (natural substances cannot heal or treat?), it leads - heck, it FORCES - companies to be disingenuous by stating that their products are created for some other purpose. Interesting and sad.
With health insurance and medical costs on the rampant rise, there are no good reasons for people NOT to look for non-drug alternatives in addition to reasonable treatments from their physicians.
