It’s amazing how time goes by. It feels as if it was yesterday when Natalie was born. This July 8th, she will be one-year old.
I have missed out on about half of her life, because last year I still had a boss, I still had to work 40-50 hours a week, and a lot of times I left the apartment before she woke up. When I got home, I could only spend one or two hours with her, because it was time for her to go to bed.
As of January 20th, however, for the first time in my life I have experienced true freedom. What is true freedom, you ask? This is true freedom: to be able to do whatever you want, whenever you want to do it, with whomever you want to do it. In other words, when you have a source of income that requires very little of your time in order to produce.
Isn’t that what the American Dream is all about? Freedom? Yet most people are slaves to a j.o.b., to credit card debt, etc, etc. And this has them tied to a schedule, a place away from home, and a boss.
It is very satisfying for me to think about the fact that I will never miss out on my daughter’s life. I will take her to school. I will see all her soccer games, or dances, or performances, or whatever it is that she chooses to be a part of... and she will always have her mommy and daddy by her side.
Two weeks ago she took her first steps all by herself. I was sitting right in front of her, and she walked toward me. I will never forget that moment (see the video on my podcast site!). If I had chosen not to look further into PAS, I would have been at work spending hours doing something I did not enjoy... for peanuts... and I would’ve missed this crucial moment in my daughter’s life.
Today I spent most of the day just watching her, playing with her, feeding her... both Selena and I spend our days together, planning what we want to do. We live a minute and a half from Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, and we are looking for good trails to go bike every day and take Natalie with us in one of those pulling things you can take your kids in.
Life is way too short to miss out on what’s important. Obviously money is as vital to our existence as oxygen is. So even when I was a teenager I thought... if I can make enough money that I don’t have to think about it... I will be made.
You have to experience what it’s like to make $9,000 in a week. You have to experience what it’s like to spend a whole month visiting relatives out of state, going out to eat every day, and your phone rings twice a week only to let you know that you have money coming in... and at the end of the 30 days, you had a 5-figure month! You have to experience that for yourself. With PAS, there is no reason not to.
All I ever wanted was freedom. I have gotten a lot more than freedom. I have found wealth. It’s right in front of you... don’t let it go!
To our success,
