Dear Excel Reps,
First I want to tell you that I was saddened to hear about your parent company VarTec filing for Chapter 11. I like to see people succeed in Network Marketing and this news came as a shock to me.
Having said that, I would like to let you know that you are welcome in Vemma. Vemma just launched on November 1st, but is owned by the same folks that own New Vision, a 10 year old company that has paid out over $400 Million in bonuses to independent reps like you.
So take a few minutes to watch the Extreme Financial Makeover Video. You can also follow along with the MLM Experiment to see if it is possible to build a start up Network Marketing business by using a weblog.
*Due to the news about Excel, I will talk about Vemma's compensation plan on Wednesday)
as an excel rep (sd) who went inactive when vartec bought excel, i was saddened to see the demise of what should have become a great company but was taken down the toilet by people who could not understand the concept of CUSTOMER SERVICE and REP SUPPORT. had those concepts been applied excel could have and would have survived.
what surprises me the most is how excited those remnants of excel reps seem to be about being traded to shaklee. nothing against shaklee, but if they wanted to be shaklee reps they would have joined that company. if they feel that that situation is really a good one, then i say go for it. but, i think that there are other companies, other opportunities out there, and to hitch their wagons to shaklee embraces the same mentality that caused them to hitch their wagons to teleglobe, bce, and joe and connie mitchell.
good luck to you. but think about what else may be out there for you. how can you recruit new reps into this situation?
and do you really want to sign that release absolving var tec of paying you what it owes you? i'd say that it is a pretty raw deal
but good luck anyway

Can you imagine going from 'Telecom'.... no lotions or potions or vitamins to sell to your family to 'Yup, lotions and potions are where it's at'
Come on people... you can't tell me there was no money changing hands at the top levels to cause Excel Reps on mass to jump to Shaklee? I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.... Not for me...

I just have to wonder how the 'firing' of Joe and con Mitchell went down -- You know how exec's and ceo's get fired --- "OK, you've run the company into the ground, you have bamboozled thousands of naive, unsuspecting dreamers into this thing-- now TAKE YOUR XXX MILLION DOLLARS AND GET OUT!!! --just as a cover for a couple of crooks to escape without answering to thousands of reps!

I feel bad for those who lost out when the program collapsed but what I remember most is that over 2000 people became millionaires with Excel. Over 10,000 people earned over six figures per year! The deregulation of communications allowed Excel and a lot of others to prosper. With this in mind the average long distance bill that caused this success was $25. Do you realize that the average electric bill is $250 and Electricity has now been deregulated accross the country? If you were not one of the 2000 millionaires Excel made or one of the 10,000 who earned more than six figures per year you have an opportunity to position yourself to capitalize off of Electric Deregulation with a company that is so committed to customer support they spent 9 months refining provisioning and customer service protocols before launching their referral marketing program. Get the details and secure your financial future before the masses find out about it!

I know many people that missed the boat with telecom deregulation but like me are excited about Energy deregulation which is a 500 billion $ industry. As a chiropractor just graduating from school when approached about excel from another doc, I just wasn't ready. But now after knowing that he was able to attain financial freedom and live the life he chooses I said if an opportunity like this ever came around again I'd take a look.
