Back to Reality
This morning at 7:30 AM, my neighbor decides it's time to mow the lawn. I got up out of bed, looked out the window, turned to my wife and said, "what the hell?" Then I began realizing that most of our neighbors had already left for work while I was still snoozing in the comfort of my nice warm bed.
I know, rough life. The time I wake up on weekdays has everything to do with the time that my son and daughter have to be at school. I have set my alarm once in the last month. I took a Wednesday off last week to watch an afternoon baseball game. I have a friend that calls me at 10:00 AM and jokes about waking me up.
I am thinking about tagging along to work with my friend one of these days just to get a dose of the real world. Maybe we can call it "Take Your Work At Home Friend To Work Day". Sometimes I forget how good I have it.
Even though it's 9:21AM and I am still in my PJ's, I do work. You might find me in my home office at 1:00 AM still working, while you are tucked into bed. I think it's important to take full advantage of working from home. I know it's a cliche', but Work Hard and Play Hard, anyways.
