The Today show doesn’t like to judge. In the past, they have used the HBO series Big Love as a pretext to describe polygamy as the "next civil rights battle."  They also had a serious piece on an "artist" who was promoting female public nudity. And now we have the lighter side of child rape. The May 26 edition of NBC’s Today featured an interview with Mary Kay LeTourneau. You may remember her as the women who was convicted in 1997 for having sex with her then 12-year-old student. She has since served a seven year prison sentence and is now married to the former victim, Vili Fualaau, 21.

Here’s how Matt Lauer introduced the piece at 7:32AM EDT:    Lauer: "Most skeptics thought it could never last. Theirs was truly a love against all odds. He was a sixth grader in suburban Seattle. She was a star teacher and a married mother of four. What began as a mentorship quickly developed into a sexual affair."

Hot For Teacher: USA Bikini Team

A Florida teacher is caught up in a flap about posing for photos as part of the "national bikini team" when she was in college.

Fran Giblin, principal of West Boca Raton High School, said a parent complained about photos of Erica Chevillar posted on the Web site of the USA National Bikini Team, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported. The photos are provocative and show Chevillar wearing revealing outfits, including a bikini.

  The site identifies her using a different last name.

  Giblin said the incident was turned over to the school district's professional standards department.

Idol Favorite Chris Daughtry May Front Rock Band Fuel

I haven't watched American Idol this year, but when I caught it, this guy looked like the frontrunner to me. Oh well. Maybe it's time for a grey haired idol.

Chris Daughtry is looking to launch his music career after getting booted from American Idol. Fuel is searching for a lead singer after Brett Scallions quit.

The band offered Daughtry a job Thursday, hours after viewers voted him off the Fox television talent show.

Bass player Jeff Abercrombie and guitarist Carl Bell made their pitch on the TV show Extra.

"Chris, if you are watching, we've talked about this before, and if you want to entertain it again we'll take it and go," Abercrombie said.

Daughtry, who dreamed of becoming a rock star while working in the service department at a Greensboro car dealership, told reporters earlier Thursday he was considering whether to pursue fronting an established rock band or launching a solo career.

"I'm a songwriter myself," the 26-year-old said. "To be able to launch my own career would be a dream" come true.

The buzz around Daughtry for weeks has been that he could end up Fuel's lead singer; Scallions left the band in February.

My Name is Steve Vaught, (born Stephen James Liller in Youngstown, Ohio). I am a 39 year old, happily married father of two great kids and I have a pretty good life here in Southern California. You would think that I would be happy because of these things, but I am not. I am not happy because I am fat and being fat makes every day unhappy.

I did not make this website to complain about it however, instead I am doing something about  it and this site was made to chronicle my story.

I am going to walk across the United states from San Diego to NYC to lose weight and regain my life!

The rest of the story is that I have not always been fat. I have been many things in my life from a lanky teenager to a muscular Marine and now I am fat. This latest incarnation is without a doubt the worst.

Being fat is physically and emotionally painful.  It diminishes the quality of the good things in life and it will ultimately bring about an early demise. So being overweight darkens every good thing that you achieve in your life and even prevents some things from happening at all.
