Half of all US Businesses Are Run From Home

Nearly half of all United States businesses are run from home, and most companies owned by women are home-based, according to a government report released on Wednesday.

The data, showing 56 per cent of female-owned businesses are run from home, illustrate how women opt to work from home for an array of family reasons, workplace experts say.

Bono Launches Red Line of Clothing to Help Fight AIDS

Irish rock star Bono on Friday launched the U.S. version of his “Red” campaign that turns shopping into a funding stream to fight AIDS in Africa.

The program — the brainchild of the U2 singer and Bobby Shriver, nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy — encourages shoppers to buy Red-branded goods, while manufacturers pledge to channel a portion of the profits to AIDS programs financed by the U.N.-backed Global Fund.

We are closing on an investment house on Friday, October 20th. I plan on blogging the details of the flip here at Work At Home Dad. Overall the house is 1400 sq/ft, 3 bedroom and 1 bath. We will be adding a 4th bedroom and a 3/4 bath, gutting the kitchen and bath, refinishing the hardwood floors, painting inside and out and so on and so on...
