Dusting Off the Cobwebs

It is about time that I stop ignoring this blog project. Being a Work at Home Dad might be the biggest and most fullfiling accomplishment in my life. Neither of my kids, ages 6 and 9 can really remember their Dad having to leave home to go to a job.

Last month I began doing some consulting work with a home business coach and trainer and I spent several days a week driving to his home office which is about 30 miles from my home. I leave after commute time so I miss most of the traffic but the drive is taking some getting used to. Beginning in June, I expect to spend most of my time back in my home office so I look forward to that.

While I am working on projects for the work at home trainer and coach, I am also very much in a learning mode, seeing what it takes to build a large training and coaching business. (More on that in the future, I'm sure.)

So, a couple of weeks ago, I got up and did some work at home and then got ready to leave for the day. I pushed the button on the garage door and I was getting in my car when I heard my son, (obviously upset), run out of the door leading from our house to the garage to give me a hug.I asked him why he was upset and He said, "Dad, I thought I missed you." That special moment made me realize that being a Work at Home Dad is my greatest accomplishment.

Are you ready to become a Work At Home Dad too?
